The licence

What else runs on the licence

  • Qualtrics sells more than employee experience. Its customer experience and strategy and research products can share the account, with customer programs, research or nomination forms owned by other teams.
  • The employee listening program moves. CultureMonkey shows group results only above the anonymity threshold: 5 by default on dashboards, never below 3.
  • The rest stays on Qualtrics. CultureMonkey is built for employee engagement, not customer experience or market research.

Start with a simple list: what runs on the account, who owns each piece, and which pieces make up the engagement program.

What to export before the split

Nominations

Nomination and awards flows

  • What a nomination flow is. Qualtrics lists no awards project type, so it is a survey the team built: a named person nominates a named colleague, with questions per award and citations.
  • What its reports need. Counts by location and award type, and records kept across years. These are reports on named records, not anonymous trends.
  • So it stays on Qualtrics. CultureMonkey does not rebuild nomination workflows. Moving engagement surveys leaves the nomination survey, its links and its archive unchanged.
Renewal questions

Ask the Qualtrics account executive, in writing.

Can our EX use cases come off at renewal while the rest of the account continues? Will that answer hold for this renewal and the next one?

Renewal

What it means at renewal

  • Check which EX use cases the contract lists. Qualtrics defines Engagement, Lifecycle, Ad Hoc Employee Research and 360 as separate EX use cases, each per annual subscription period.
  • Ask whether those use cases can come off at renewal. Put the question to the Qualtrics account executive and get the answer in writing, for this renewal and the next one.
  • Plan back from the renewal date. Export engagement data while the licence is active, then set the first CultureMonkey survey and any overlap against that date.
Both at once

Running both for one cycle

  • Only the engagement work changes over. Load employee records by CSV or an HRIS connection first: lifecycle surveys trigger from each person’s date of joining and date of separation.
  • The last survey can run on Qualtrics. Its results can be imported with the older surveys during onboarding. The score continuity guide explains how to read the trend across the handover.
  • Nothing on the staying side stops. Customer programs, research and nominations keep their schedules through the whole changeover.

FAQ

Engagement after Qualtrics

Can you use CultureMonkey for employee engagement and keep Qualtrics for customer experience?
Yes. Engagement, pulse, eNPS and lifecycle surveys move to CultureMonkey. Customer experience programs, market research and nomination forms keep running on Qualtrics, with the same owners. Past engagement surveys can be imported into CultureMonkey during onboarding, and group results show only above the anonymity threshold, 5 by default on dashboards.
Does CultureMonkey do customer experience surveys?
No. CultureMonkey covers employee feedback: engagement and pulse surveys, eNPS, lifecycle surveys and anonymous conversations with employees, using employee records loaded by CSV or an HRIS connection. Customer experience programs stay on Qualtrics, which is why this page describes a split rather than a full move.
Does CultureMonkey do market research?
No. Market, product and brand research run on Qualtrics' Strategy & Research products, and moving engagement surveys does not touch them. The research team keeps its projects, data and owners. CultureMonkey is built for employee engagement, so only employee surveys move: engagement, pulse, eNPS and lifecycle.
What happens to non-engagement surveys built in Qualtrics?
They stay in Qualtrics. The move covers the employee listening program only. List every project on the account, mark what moves, and name an owner for each project that stays. A nomination survey is one example: CultureMonkey does not rebuild nomination workflows, so it stays with its links and archive unchanged.
Can both platforms run at the same time?
Yes. After the split, they run side by side, each with its own job. During the changeover, the last engagement survey can run on Qualtrics while CultureMonkey is set up. Its results can then be imported with the older surveys during onboarding.
